Who is SavvySuzy, Anyway?

~ Front Page

Welcome to SavvySuzy.com!  Who is she and what makes her think she’s so savvy, anyway, you may ask?  Well, it’s me, my little avatar and occasionally a couple of other helpers (with technological and design expertise.)  Don’t get me wrong, I like design myself, but I’m still on a steep learning curve, as far as using design software and other creative materials are concerned.   But I’m hanging in here, learning new things as I go along.

This site was actually hatched out of financial hardships and wanting to help improve the way my family lived. We needed to learn to become a little bit more savvier every day in every way we possibly could — to improve our financial IQ, for real. This was way before the financial debacle reared it’s ugly head, mind you!

So I created a little helper named, Savvy Suzy (a plucky-free-range chicken), who goes out and finds savvy information for me — after my promptings, that is. Well, what makes her so savvy is her ability to fly! Duh!  Have you ever seen a flying chicken before?!!  Yeah?  Well, we/she flys too!  :)   Her plane doesn’t look that fancy or special, but it can navigate through the ether with lots of finesse.  (I forgot to say that we get kind of cheesy, corny and cutesy around here on occasion.  So Beware!)

Myself, also named, Suzy, and I’m not a “spring chicken”, but a free-rangin’ one, too, (We’ve since, evolved into one and the same identity — making it easier for me, you see.) who is savvy on doing little things like recycling, re-purposing, reusing, up-cycling or whatever you want to call it: savvy links, quotes, photos, regular gifs, animated ones, too!  All in all — just putting other good folks’ Creative Commons stuff to use — then paying homage by giving them credit for being so generous.  I just like to play around with my nest.

I’m not a newbie when it comes to re-purposing literally or actual material stuff either, mind you — I’ve been reusing things since “back in the day” — before they came up with the word “recycling”.  It’s become a way of life for my family to use things gently — in order for them to be passed on, if you will — in order that others can get some use out of them, too.

NEW to this site is the Savvy Suzy Shop, also linked on the side bar there where I add items from my/our Luggage/Baggage Collection — created from the journey called LIFE.

Also, to the collective mix of flotsum and jetsom from the internet, I keep a calendar of quirky dates, fun events, and bits of personal commentary, photos, drawings, and whatever else I’m learning at the time, because I definitely do like to use calendars and quotes as tools for inspirational and creative purposes.   So in other words… “Expect the Unexpected!”

Thanks again for stopping!
