Spoiler Alert! Kind of…

Okay, If you saw my previous post on the “LOST” Finale, you could have probably summed up what I thought of it with one word… Boo!  That said, I plan to just overlook the whole finale thing and choose to pay homage to the previous five years and various episodes out of this season.

Because the writers/directors/producers did a switcheroo on us.  They probably knew that they wouldn’t have been able to keep enough followers if they let it be known that the series was an exercise in morbidity — especially after 9/11 with all that sadness. Besides the fact that Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof told us that they weren’t in purgatory.

All right!  That was their choice. So be it!  It was just entertainment.  But it was more exciting and fun when they were flashing through time and introducing different sci/fi elements — with personal back stories that were so very compelling.  I am a spiritual person, but I don’t like to push my views on others.   However, on my blog I do like to showcase biblical and spiritual quotes from others.  The writers had a kind of weird way of approaching the subject.  On top of basically sabotaging the other story-lines.

But, again, that was their choice.  And I have choices too!  I choose to remember the series prior to that ending.  Actually — I would say the show had what was more like an ending to me with: No Place Like Home, Part I and No Place Like Home, Parts II, of Season 4. Because it could have actually ended right there, and left those other people just stuck on the island. That would have been more interesting, and in line with everything else that had gone on prior.

So I won’t “throw the baby out with the bath water”.  I plan to remember the show for all it’s wackiness prior to Season 6 or even before Season 5, and throw in a few episodes this season such as: Happily Ever After and Ab Aeterno. This is a way for me to encapsulate the essence of the show — minus the weird ending.

It’s a wrap! No more talking about “LOST” for me here…
