Taming The Beast: RSS Feeds

7.24.2008

I’m always looking for ways to help me with the KISSS (Keep It Sweet, Savvy, & Simple) approach to doing things, because I’ve learned from getting no where by attempting to do things the hard way. Have you had this affliction too? (more…)

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Problogger Shares The Love!!!

That was a lot of fun! Thanks goes out to Problogger for offering a summer-time diversion that was totally unexpected! Those are the best kind.

In turn, I want to thank everyone who has come through Problogger to pay a visit to my site, that he so graciously invited me and others to post our various social networks we frequent in his comment section. He’s having a list compiled, that he plans to eventually showcase on his site in the future. Oh the Love!!! ;)

Update #1: I’ve gotten one of Problogger’s compiled lists and this one has all the Twitter Folks!

Update #2: Problogger has listed bloggers from StumbleUpon and Digg, who submitted their sites.

Update #3: It appears that Problogger has run into some snags over at SU: “Problogger is Banned from StumbleUpon”.

Update #4: It appears that Problogger has been unbanned and on speaking terms with SU once again : “How Social Media Helped Me Get Unbanned from a Social Media Site in 1 Hour and 44 Minutes”

Learning By Happenstance

6.01.2008

I was reading my Twitter feed, when I noticed a link posted by Problogger, Darren Rowse, during the Memorial Day weekend — so I went over to check it out. The author, Nadeesha Cabral, has a great analogy going in this article, Bloggers are Like Pawns on a Chessboard. I mentioned to family that I’ve felt like a “pawn”, myself, in various working situations. But the message I’m getting from the article is that it’s up to us where we end up in the game. (more…)

Difficulty Writing About Money, Part III

5.05.2008

Well, I wasn’t sure how I was going to approach my topic of difficulty this month, but as usual, it kind of just came to me as I moved through the process. The “cat was let out of the bag” in the previous article, that I was actually, unemployed. Yeesh! I said it again. So duh, that’s the reason I find it difficult to discuss the word “Money”! It’s a given. (more…)

Some Kind of Epiphany!

April was a very…

Epiphany ~ (noun) a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something, usually initiated by some simple, homely, or commonplace occurrence or experience. (Dictionary.com)

Also, a more indepth explanation as to what my purpose is for blogging. After using some semi-foul language (that was intended to be an April Fools’ prank) it made me think of another word that makes people bristle when they hear it.

The word is being used repeatedly every day on the internet, TV, radio, newspapers and various other media outlets. There is a stigma towards people being branded with the word. It has very negative connotations. (more…)

Blogging With A Purpose

Most months, if you’ve come by here before, you will notice that my articles have a theme. It makes it easier to write topics for each section. Last month it was about , March was , February was about Love, and January focused on the New Year. This month is all about purpose and creativity.

Last month’s April Fools’ prank that I pulled, actually inspired me in my writings again for this month. I also read some tragic news about a few bloggers that had died from stress. I came across an article from New York Times, that was shedding light on the blogging world. (more…)

By-Way to Creativity!

5.01.2008

I’m still having residual effects from my little prank I did on April Fools’ Day. It reminded me of why I’m blogging. It’s taking me to new places and affording me the opportunity to learn new ideas. It’s inspiring me in so many new ways, just by doing the research for the site. (more…)

Workplace Foolishness…

4.01.2008

Is your workplace into playing tricks on you and your cohorts? It appears to be something that is growing. Maybe it’s a good thing or maybe not. It depends on the methodology that was used. Was it done in maliciousness or in a spirit of fun and combating boredom to create camaraderie is the question? (more…)

Innovation Time

3.01.2008

Way back in the 70’s, 80’s and even 90’s, we didn’t have nearly as many options for buying things or using things as we do today. It’s a “renaissance” or a “revolution” of sort for “choice or options”.
