I'm Getting "LOST"!

I’m Done…Finally! (Lost, Episode #12, Parts 2 & 3)

You know, I saw the Lost Finale, “There’s No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3″, on the day it actually happened, but they took us on this “roller coaster” emotional ride — that I quite frankly, don’t know where to start to write my review! I’ll just have to start by saying — WHAT A FANTASTIC RIDE!!! I could use all types of words to describe it, like: angst, anxious, hopeful, sad, angry, hateful, revengeful, amazing, sweet, lovely, happy, morbid, scary and creepy — just for starters. But keeping in line with the summer modus operandi around my nest of using the “K.I.S.S.” approach (Keep It Sweet & Simple) — I plan to take a minimalist approach with this article: (more…)

Calmly Waiting…

5.29.2008

…for the LOST Finale, which is tonight. It’s been the best season ever! I don’t want to get too excited and be disappointed, so I’ll reserve commenting about anything until after it’s over. Then we’ll be in for a long wait for the next season starting in January 2009. (more…)

Home is…(Lost, Episode #12)

5.18.2008

It’s getting more and more difficult to write my interpretation of what I saw on the show. Things are reaching an all time frenzy, compared to last year’s humdrum episodes. Episode #12, There’s No Place Like Home, Part I, was jumping all over the place — beach, Orchid Station, speed raft, freighter, flash-forward-back and over again. The title is a bit of a misnomer, because basically, I’m getting a sense that these “Losties” have no place to really call home. (more…)

Ready For Lift OFF! (LOST, Episode #11)

Where are we/they going? And where do I start in an attempt to give my synopsis of what went down on, LOST, Episode #11, “Cabin Fever”? There was so much happening in this one episode! I’ll just start by jumping in at any point, like for instance, that militant dude, Keamy (hired gun slinger of Charles Widmore), usurped that Captain Gault (who didn’t have a clue) and just blew him away. However, before he did that we went back in time or forward with the boat, and we find out how the Doc ended up washing ashore with his neck slit. (more…)

A Twisted Tale (Lost, Episode #10)

5.04.2008

I actually saw the last installment of LOST, episode #10, “Something Nice Back Home”, on the actual night that it aired, but I was kind of hesitant to sit down and write about it. Why, would you say, pray tell would that be? It was a rather strange episode — kind of edgy, gross, sad, eerie, etc. I could probably go on with the adjectives.

It was interesting, but totally off kilter. As if I know what would be normality on that island. All I can say about Jack and Kate, is that they don’t appear to be happy with each other. Something is missing. Something is wrong. The whole idea of Kate being a “happy homemaker” doesn’t sit that well with me. (more…)

Bare Knuckle Thrill Ride! (LOST, Episode, #9)

4.29.2008

Episode #9, “The Shape of Things to Come”, what a ride that one was! I don’t even know where to begin. All I know to say is — what’s up with Ben? This guy is just one big mind game. He appears to be some kind of psychopath. This guy let his quasi-self-adopted daughter (Alex) get shot, and he hardly batted an eye. So he’s the one who’s been playing around with the “smoke beast”. Also, he appears in the flash forwards, but I’m thinking that he didn’t get there the same way the Oceanic Six did. (more…)

It’s Back!

4.25.2008

LOST, that is! But I haven’t even seen it yet. My family and I, are some of those Tivoer’s or DVRer’s, who are not included in the ratings. (However, I did read in one of the articles here, that they are extending it out by three days to reflect a few more of th (more…)

“Nuff Said!”

I figured out why I like the TV show, LOST, so much — it’s like a metaphor for life. For instance, in my own life, I was “lost” a long time as to what was my purpose. Some people know early on what their “passion” is, but myself, I didn’t have a clue. I’m still getting detoured from time to time, although, I’m back on track and moving in the right direction. “Lost” in Conclusion, Episode #8

3.27.2008

I’ve finally decided to tackle the angst-ridden episode #8, “Meet Kevin Johnson”, starring the character, Michael, aka, Kevin Johnson, who hasn’t been seen or heard from in a long, long time. It’s good to see him coming back into the fold, but it’s difficult to watch him being totally stressed out! (more…)
