What Does Family Fun, Orange & Papaya Have In Common?
8.01.2011
Have you figured out the answer yet? Do you give up? Do you care? Alright! I’m just going to have to tell you then. They both happen to be celebrated all this month of August.
You know we had a little family fun back in February, where I claimed to be having issues with carbs like bread. What can I say, but that’s an ongoing saga. You know how that is? I still have issues, but I’m working on them kind of storyline.
It definitely can’t hurt things by drinking smoothies like ones with the ingredients suggested below, and it sounds very refreshing, indeed. But as far as baking goes, we’re not doing much of that during these “Dog Days of Summer” (wordnik.com).
So what do I suggest for family fun this month, if you’re staying home and can’t leave or go far? It’s time for the ubiquitous list again — when we’re tired of writing kind of post. Here are a few things my family has done in the past — and still do some of the things from time to time:
- Movie weekend night at home or elsewhere
- Garage sale (make some un-edible bread)
- Puppet show
- Ride bikes
- Board games
- Family walk
- Read a book out loud together
- Pitch a tent (indoors or outside)
- Homemade ice cream
- Make S’mores (I forgot if we did.)
- Make a homemade pizza
- Make smoothies — serving suggestion below…
