About Savvy Suzy

Welcome to SavvySuzy.com! Who are we, you may ask?   Well, it’s me, my little avatar and occasionally a couple of other helpers.

This site was hatched out of financial hardships and wanting to improve the way my family lived. We needed to learn to become more savvy every day in every way we possibly could — to improve our financial IQ. So I created a little helper named, Savvy Suzy (a plucky-free-range chicken), who goes out and finds savvy information for me — after my promptings, that is.

Myself, also named, Suzy, and I’m not a “spring chicken” — but a free-rangin’ one, too, who is savvy on little things like collecting links. I guess you could say that our identities are intertwined (I hope that’s not, too, confusing, but I need her to save face.)

All right! All right! Enough of this duality stuff. I’m taking ownership here! I AM THIS SAVVY CHICKEN, who can type, loves quotations, sayings, paper, leaf addiction, vintage/junk finds, discovering inspirational words and finding simple & savvy ideas (I have to keep it really, really, really simple, otherwise it blows my mind!) Having gone through many trials and tribulations has made me savvy at getting by, but now I need to move to the next level.

I had an aha! moment recently — where I realized — I’ve been a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom), a WAHM (Work at Home Mom), a HAHM (Homeschooling at Home Mom) and now I aspire, in light of being unemployed, to be a BAHM, BAHM!!! (Blogging-Business at Home Mom) and a (Better-Person at Home Mom).

Our staff, is on the mean and lean side, which consists mostly of me (with some design ideas, research and writing) and my little avatar, who is the front persona — plus input from two other special helpers from time-to-time (my two sons) with web design & development skills — hence our Savvy Staff.

“Moderation” is the key for me, and that’s the mindset that I want to take in writing of this blog. It’s not so much about me, but moreso about ideas and possibilities. I take that back. It is about me and how I’m using this website to help me grow!

I’d appreciate getting comments, but if you prefer not — that’s quite all right, because this site will keep keepin’ on, regardless!
