‘Searching for My Inner Savvyness’

……………….

30th ~ Stay Home Because You’re Well Day

30th ~ ThankFest Ends Day

……………….

Wow, where has the time flown?!!  That was a fast month of posting.   You’re probably wondering if I found my inner-savvyness this month?  I’ve come to the conclusion — that it’s an ongoing process.  I’m becoming incrementally savvier in a variety of areas.

The photography is an ongoing work in progress, too, but I was off to a good start, before  I got a little bit stymied — when I realized that I couldn’t or wouldn’t post many food suggestions that I found out there in the ether.  The reason — was because if you’re anything like me and having to cook on a regular basis during the holidays and everyday — it ‘s the holiday time that I added extra poundage.  Then I spend the rest of the year attempting to lose the excess.

I said to myself that this year is different for me — this is an ultimatum — the food frenzy is going to have to stop here.  So I had pies for the holidays, but on a minimal basis.  I didn’t bake any cookies either — instead we had jello on the side.  I will continue this food downsizing until after the holidays and beyond, that is, as far as I’m concerned.  The rest of the family doesn’t have the same food issues like mine.

So that’s what happened during my ThankFest — I realized the savvy thing for me to do was to only post food ideas that were simple to make and not that fattening.  Therefore, I ended up posting little quote ditties instead, based on my three rules.

However, I did finish that wreath I started from the example in the e-zine, “Inspired Ideas”.  You can see it above on the left.   It’s in contrast to the simpler wreath on the right.  I suppose you could say the first wreath is based on controlled excess, but the good thing is that it’s little and everything I used was something I already had.  I even added a pair of earrings I only wore once.  I didn’t go out and buy anything to put on it.  The wreath on the right is clean and simple, causing a calming effect as compared to the cluttered one which is cozier.  I need to shape it up a bit — used a sprig of artificial pine swag to shape into the form.   So that was my following through with the small project.

Now, as far as the quirky holiday, “Stay Home Because You’re Well Day”, I don’t advocate doing that in this economic climate or any time.  But I will say that if you do have a job or a business, be thankful for it each and every day, because there are many people who are out of work now — for what ever reason.

Well, that’s a wrap for this year.  Thanks for visiting this year’s fare.  Continue to stop by and check out my offerings, because it’s all about… “Expect the Unexpected.”

Thanks to everyone, again, for visiting the fair this year.  We hope you enjoyed the snacks and appreciated the added restrooms located at the designated areas called, YOUR KITCHEN and YOUR BATHROOM. We spared no expense as far as those things were concerned.
