8th ~ Cook Something Bold & Pungent Day

Now that we’ve gained back that hour we lost last spring, we can start adjusting our inner-time clocks a little bit each day until it’s time to move the clock ahead once again…

In the meantime I can turn my attention to it being “National Paperworks & Photoworks Day”.   My photo on the left can cover both the “paper” and “photo” aspects of the day.

Let me go over my game plan a bit, before I explain about the photo.  I have three rules for the ThankFest this year: 1) I will make something by hand; 2) if I can’t or won’t make something by hand I will have to draw something; 3) finally, I will come up with a quote or poem if the first two are not an option.  That’s it!  I’ve actually done all three so far.  It’s all about appreciating what I have and doing something with it!

A few years ago my family wanted to see how tall we could get the newspapers we received to stack up, before they would topple over.  That stack was the tallest — which was about 5 feet or so.  We recycled the newspapers for years, before we stopped getting it altogether.  I thought about decorating it for Christmas but decided against that idea.  So where would you get little obscure tidbits like this?!!!   Right!  Of course — this is the internet.  Forget I ever mentioned it.
