…WHAT’S UP WITH RICHARD???!!!

1. Richard knows nothing!
2. Or is it he knows something, but isn’t letting on?
   
3. He doesn’t want to defend himself, apparently.
   
4. He doesn’t seem to know who Jacob is or the “MIB (Man in Black) — Locke poseur, if you will.
5. What does he actually do anyway?
6. Is he a leader or a follower or both?
7. He was dressed like a dirty pirate at one point.
8. He doesn’t age.
9. He can leave the island on occasion if he wants.
10. He travels through time.
    
11. It has been made known in various online publications that he (actor, Nestor Carbonell) doesn’t use eyeliner, as it appears.

Don’t get me wrong, I think he’s a very intriguing character.  Either there’s a lot going on with Richard or there’s nothing.  I don’t think he’s going to turn out to be a middle-of-the-road kind of character, but of course, the writers could be pulling our leg with him.  There may be nothing going on with him.

Also, the Locke character is interesting, but he’s all over the place.  He gets dumped on so much.  What’s up with him, too, when he’s dead or alive?  And Sawyer — what’s he going to do — that is, now that he’s gone off and followed the shape shifting Locke poseur?  And, last but not least, who in the world is Jacob?  Has he taken on a new identity as a little one?

Someone is in cahootz with the “little green men” or these characters.   All I know — It’s getting crazier and crazier with each new episode.  The writers are going to have a lot of stuff to clear up before the end or maybe not.

Regardless!  This was a good episode.  A big improvement over last week’s episode.  I can only say — Keep ‘em coming!

LOCKE: Thirsty?
[Richard drinks deeply]
LOCKE: Richard, I’m sorry I hit you in the throat and dragged you off the beach but I had to do something.
RICHARD: What do you want?
LOCKE: What I’ve always wanted. For you to come with me.
RICHARD: Why do you look like John Locke?
LOCKE: I knew he’d get me access to Jacob. Because John’s a candidate. Or at least he was a candidate…
[They both stand]
RICHARD: What do you mean? What do you mean a candidate?
LOCKE: Didn’t Jacob tell you any of this?
RICHARD: Any of what?
LOCKE: Oh, Richard… I’m sorry. You mean, you’ve been doing everything he told you all this time and he never said why?
[Richard does not reply]
LOCKE: I would never have done that to you. I would never have kept you in the dark.
RICHARD: And what would you have done?
LOCKE: I would have treated you with respect. Come with me… and I promise I will tell you everything.
RICHARD: No.
LOCKE: Are you sure about that, Richard? Because people seldom get a second chance…
RICHARD: I’m not going anywhere with you.
LOCKE: Alright.
[Locke sees a blond boy with bloodied arms standing in the jungle ... Richard cannot see him]
RICHARD: What?
LOCKE: I’ll be seeing you, Richard. Sooner than you think.
[Locke walks into the jungle]“
