‘Down through the Rabbit Hole of Episode #5‘
This season seems like, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, more than any other season thus far. That is, with all the Alice type Lostees floating through the various layers of time, and Locke, literally falling into the well, as though actually going down into some type of rabbit hole.
Things are getting quite twisted, and the flashes are speeding up. It’s caused Charlotte to reach the boiling point of no return, and the others will do the same if Locke can’t get off the island and get the Oceanic Six to go back to the island, which doesn’t appear to be an easy task.
Are things headed into some type of dark abyss or maybe not? It kind of seems like we’re dropping into some type of Trillion Dollar Bail Out Rabbit Hole in our so called reality these days. I suppose we’ll be finding out sooner or later — either way. In the meantime, I’ll make my list of what I learned in this episode…
Confirmations or Answers
- Charlotte had been on the island before (already had a hunch.
- Ms. Hawkings is Daniel Farraday’s mother (was figuring this one out too).
- Jin is alive.
- Christian Shepard is supposedly Jacob or maybe not.
- Locke appears to be a sacrificial lamb of sorts.
- Plus the announcer said in next week’s preview the Oceanic 6 return to their final destination.
More Questions
- Why does the smoke beast appear to strike willy nilly?
- What happened to Danielle’s husband and some of the others attacked by the smoke beast?
- Why do Danielle’s group carry so many weaponry?
- Why was so important for Danielle to go on the island trip being in advanced pregnancy?
- Why doesn’t Daniel Farraday (like Richard) not appear to age?
- Who were Charlotte’s parents?
- Who was Daniel’s father?
- Why are the time flashes speeding up?
- Why is Ms. Hawkings headquarted in a church like some kind of sourcerous?
- Why is Christian Shepherd/Jacob helping Locke get off the island?
- How did he find time to have a wife — be Jack’s dad — have an affair and become father of Claire, and also be a doctor on the side?
- Why didn’t Daniel remember seeing Charlotte when she was little?
- Why is Lock continually left out of the loop of understanding what’s going on with the island — if he’s such an important element?
