(Episode #7), ‘Tug of War for Locke’

Of all of the characters on the show, LOST, I think, Locke, epitomizes the name of the show.  He’s being pulled back and forth in last night’s episode between Ben and Widmore.  The O6 gang don’t want to follow him;  his father used and abused him;  the one person who seemed to truly love him has come to her demise.  It appears that he is feeling “lost” and dejected.

Good show, but really, really strange.  The overall atmosphere and/or tone of the show is changing dramatically.  What kind of questions came to mind in last night episode…well, read further:

1. We’ve got a whole new group of people on the island, with their own oddities and what kind of issues will they bring?
2. Is Locke going to be accepted or dejected by this new group of Lostees?
3. Why is Locke so gullible?
4. Who the heck is Ben — sometimes he acts kind of goofy — then he turns around to show a really sinister side?
5. Is he good or bad, is the question?
6. Widmore, comes off as mean and sinister a lot of the time, but last night he was acting kind, so it makes me wonder is he good or bad?
7. Abbedon was freaking me out — will he be coming back again?
8. Why doesn’t Walt have to go back to the island?
9. Was Frank the only pilot on the plane?
10. Was it Frank that went off in one of the boats with what woman?
