LOST: Episode I, Because You Left and Episode II, The Lie

What I said below was totally out of context — and would have appeared to be a lie in and of itself.  That is, if it were my intentions to mislead, but I had intended on doing nothing of the sort.  What happened was I forgot to review the actual first episode of the season, which was, Because You Left.  Hence, I didn’t review the first episode.  I’m just going to chalk it up as being the craziness of the time, ignoranance and being a newbie at reviewing. So please excuse the confusion. Read on…

I thought the penultimate season opening of LOST: The Lie, was very exciting — indeed!  Looks like we’re getting a season pass for an amusement park filled with extreme roller coasters and creepy, wild, weird and wacky — fun house type of attractions.  The show is poised to dive into even more time shifting elements after moving through the twists and turns of last night’s episode.  All of which reminded me of a virtual “shell game” — that is — having to keep up with the constant shuffling of the various fragmented groups, on and off the island.

What can I say — Desmond is my favorite character and I have always liked his storyline the best of all the characters, so it’s going to be really great to see him playing such a pivotal role in the dynamics of the wild and crazy dimensions that they all inhabit (on and off the island).  Also, with the return of Ms. Hawking, the show is taking on a richness of mystical and multi-dimensional — time-shifting quality — that is to to the umpteenth power!

Back in so called reality, we as Americans, have been going through some historically interesting and challenging times, ourselves, during this new millennium9/11, war, housing bubble and collapse, credit crunchfinancial debacle and now the election of the first African-American to office — President, Barack Obama.  So, yes, with all of these changes and uncertainty that we are experiencing with this transitioning — that we are having to go through, ourselves — it can sometimes create a sense of being kind of “lost” until we start to get our bearings again.

Because of all the flux of what’s going on in my life, and the changes technologically, financially and politically in America today — it just makes me want to simplify even more.  And that will be evident in my blogging approach for this year.

First up — I’m going to let others review the LOST episodes — it’s getting way too complex and time consuming for me to even dare attempt to go back and reiterate what happened.  There are so many others who are paid and can do it much better than “moi” (I just had fun doing it in the past.  However, I still will be throwing in my two cents.)…
