2008 ThankFest Begins!

Thank You for stopping by…
...the 2nd Annual ThankFest…
“the simple little things”
It has been some kind of year, with the historical presidential race, sky-high gas prices, credit crunchies, the financial crisis and bailout plan, to name some of the more dramatic events and issues that have been on America’s agenda the past few months.
It’s time for me to slow it all down and simplify. No time is better than now in light of all the chaos.
We have a Winner of the Fall GiveAway!!!
I want to take the time to again Thank, Brian Butko, of Lincoln Highway News, who so graciously is giving the book, “Roadside Attractions”, to one lucky commenter, who is:
James Dean (really) of:

Thanks to him, too, for commenting and all of the others, who have visited and took the time to say something…
Here’s a reminder of the 2007 festival.
I had mentioned earlier that my family had challenges and there are still ongoing issues that we are working on. The thing is, I do have my moments of being sad about the situation, but I snap back to my senses and keep going.
I’ve learned little simple things that I/we do every day to help us get by. I’m thankful for all the things in my life, and as appreciation I am going to share a few of the simple little things that I do every day to help me and my family get through the difficulties.
Also, I’ve been wanting to simplify my posts, but of course, I couldn’t do it with all the gorgeous leaf photos out there. But after all of the excessiveness of getting carried away over leaves, it’s time for me to get…
…back to basics and the simple little things in life that I’m thankful for, love, and help keep me and my family grounded in reality…

The First ~ simple little thing ~ I wanted to share, especially, just coming off of my Leaf Rx Obsession Tour, is that I enjoy…

…a nice cup of hot tea when it’s cool,
or iced tea when it’s hot.
It’s such a more soothing experience than drinking coffee.
(But I wouldnt have it sitting next to my computer like that,
if I were them — accidents do happen.)
