Leaf Obsessing — On The Continent of Asia
10.23.2008 by Savvy SuzyWe’re headed to the continent of Asia ~ you’re welcome to come along — where we’re going to take a brief leaf peek at some changing hues out in the countryside of a place called Dali, and others.
The centerpiece of this photo, besides the fall leaves, is one of the ancient Three Pogoda structures, that have survived for over a thousand years.
This continent is home to various groups of people, who have been going through numerous changes for centuries.
Tokyo ~ is our next stop, in the country of Japan. The symmetrical fall action that you see taking place in the photo on the right, happens to be at a place called the Showa Memorial Garden.
It looks like a very peaceful spot, to sit and meditate, but we’re running short on time and will have to move along to see the tree with the…
…funny looking leaves, again, in the country of China ~ in a city called Shanghai. I couldn’t pass the chance to showcase this whimsical looking tree, labeled as being a type of maple tree. But the leaves on this tree, look more like little earthy colored T-shirts hanging off the branches up high, as if they were hanging out to dry in a soft breeze.
It’s really quite sweet, against the background of the blue blue sky. So that is why I couldn’t pass it without a…sigh…and now it’s time to say goodbye.
I was kind of curious as to whether there was fall activity in Russia, but it should have occurred to me that there was going to be some leaf falling going on due to it getting cold there in the winter.
The chilly weather, has produced some very soft and lovely yellow hues in the reflection of the trees overhanging the reservoir, which are complimenting the buildings on the other side in the city of Saint Petersburg. We’ve got one more stop on this continent, which was erroneously posted as Turkey, but they’re considered a European country. I’ll have to come back and add another later.
My leaf obsession has not been deprived of autumnal interaction in this part of the world. With that said, it’s time to move on to the next alphabetical country. What do you think it will be?
