The photo above shows a native American tribe, as they would have lived centuries ago, and from the looks of the photo may be creating an reenactment with the majestic view in the back drop.  I don’t have enough information about the group, but it is an amazing shot.

No states with the letter “B”, but there are several with the next letter.  it’s time to move on to the C’s.  They fared much better than the B’s.  There are three states using the letter “C”.   We’ve already gotten off to a historic start of, California (5) , a state that I know a little bit about — since I have put down some roots on this terra firma.

I made the statement earlier that my family hasn’t been on a vacation.  Let me qualify that — we haven’t been in thirteen years.  That’s no big deal, but we did take a few trips when the kids were younger.  One of these mini trips, was going camping in Yosemite.  We did get a chance to see the redwoods in the Sierras.  It’s really a beautiful place.  We didn’t get to stay at the rustic looking hotel, above on the right, but we weren’t totally roughing it — we were in an RV.  This thing with leaves and trees started when I was a little kid.  I do love the smell of dried leaves.

Colorado (6) ~ a state with the weather to produce some lovely fall images, like the one above.  Okay, earlier on, I did get to visit a few states, when my husband and I first got married — one of which was this state with the Mile High City.  I’m not a tree hugger, but I do like these plants, and the things that are made with them like homes, furniture, magazines, books and paper of all kinds.

Connecticut (7) ~ is one of those New England states where one can expect to do some heavy leaf peeping. This particular example does not disappoint.  What a lovely glow.  I’m not a so called tree hugger, but I do like trees and what they produce as stated above. Paper is one of my favorite bi-products from trees.  I think it’s a very savvy and efficient product.

What about you — what is your favorite product from trees?
