Picking Up the Pace
9.06.2008 by Savvy SuzyWe’ve got a lot of places to go and leaves to see! Next up on our agenda, is Alaska (2), which gets two photos, because it’s way up there by itself. We’ll probably be hearing more from it since they now have the first woman, Republican Vice Presidential nomination with, Govenor, Sarah Palin. I don’t like to get into politics on this blog, but I can mention the candidates.
There’s some of the fall folliage going into action in the picture on the right. Lots and lots of fresh air along with the colors of the foliage. Hopefully we’ll be hearing a lot more from this interesting state. It has a colorful history — along with such things as totem poles carved by the indigenous peoples of that area.
But aren’t the colors just fabulous in both photos? I think Alaska is a really fascinating place — the land of the midnight sun. I wonder what that feels like to have a continual sun shining like that. It’s a place I’d like to visit one day.
Arizona (3) ~ is another state with some awesome colors, that, normally, doesn’t come to mind when you think about autumn. It is the state of the Republican, Presidential candidate, Senator, John McCain.
Now, I have been to this state before, but I prefer to go there when it’s not over 100 temperature-wise, which can be rather frequent. I can tolerate up to a 100 degrees, but I prefer to keep the temps. under the 90 degree range. I suppose, that’s another reason for liking fall.
The photo on the top right, was just such a colorful reminder of what many of the states’ tradition of having their state or country fair in the autumn. Rich colors there. There aren’t any leaves for this state but plenty of the rich earthy tones. Now the Monument Valley photo, on the left, as you can see, it’s got the fall colors going down all around the ground. I’ve been through the state, but not to either park as yet. However, I kind of feel the vibes coming through the scene. I was able to locate the photo, on the lower right, taken in the fall at the Grand Canyon, which is quite awesome. Time to go again to the state of…
Arkansas (4) ~ home of former, President and Govenor, Bill Clinton, and wife, Senator and former, First Lady, Hillary Rodham Clinton, recent, Democratic candidate for President. I’ve actually been to Hot Springs. This photo was taken at Caddo Bend Trail, Lake Ouachita State Park, Arkansas, which is in or nearby, Hot Springs, but I didn’t get to see this gorgeous lake.
That’s it for the A’s. I’ll have to double check. I plan to showcase the states of, the first black (I accidentally said woman earlier…I’m glad I caught that mistake. I was thinking that Hillary was the first or second woman running for President, but there appears to be a whole slew of woman that have ran for that office before. Anyway, I put woman in the wrong place.), Democratic Presidential candidate, Senator, Barack Obama, and Vice Presidential candidate, Senator, Joe Biden, in order not to be partial here. You see, I think politics and religion, are two things that divide us as people around the world. I speak of…

…to others. Thank Goodness!
So you see, I don’t deal with politics on my blog or religion, but I do acknowledge a driving force or Spirit as being what I believe in. Although, this will be a very historical election for for the American people, this time around.
Anyone, can make of it what they will, but I’m showcasing little bits and pieces of who I am as a person or anything that piques my interest. That’s the cool thing about a blog.
Now that I’ve got that out of the way, let me move on to the B’s…
