I’ll be visiting those two places again. Discovered some interesting things while there, especially in the beginning of August, just after the earth did a bit of rumbling. But prior to that I went through some turbulence myself called…in·tro·spec·tion (n.) ~ observation or examination of one’s own mental and emotional state, mental processes, etc.; the act of looking within oneself. Olympic Games in, Beijing, China
Where we get to see the “Bird’s Nest“
You know, I have followed the games more or less over the years, and I was hesitant to watch this year, because of all the “Human Rights” issues goings on within China. We have fellow Americans, who have travelled there to participate, so at least I could watch the first day extravaganza. We decided to Tivo the Opening Ceremonies, because that is usually the main thing we watch, usually me, along with the closing ceremonies. This year we watched the ceremonies, a few days after the 08.08.08 opening day. I have to say, that I was amazed. It was a really beautiful ceremony. Now how come they can’t get their act together when it comes to the way they treat their citizens and improving their air quality, is my question? In the United States we have our problems, too, don’t get me wrong, but it is a work in progress. I do digress.
