The Gas Price Game

It appears that if you own any kind of vehicle that utilizes gas, you automatically have been signed up for the “Guess The Price of Gas Today Game”. How do we deal with the fluctuating prices on a daily basis? This is one of many ongoing questions to this crazy game. Out here in California we have the nation’s highest prices! Thankfully, prices appear to be on the downward spiral now — for who knows how long?
Being unemployed, one has no choice but to cut back, and that is what I’ve done. I use my vehicle as minimally as I can. Although, I do use it for going out on interviews and necessary shopping excursions. Some people are parking their vehicles and taking to riding bikes, using public transportation or walking, if it’s convenient for them. I do utilize my feet for transportation (two for one: exercise and transporter) when I get the chance.
Thankfully, we can go virtually to places to get savvy and useful information without using an ounce of gas. Hopefully, we can get a better idea of who’s the creator of this game and how we can become better players — that is, unless you have money to burn!
This is a game that we’re apt to lose, if we don’t make some kind of drastic changes!!!
Gas Saving Tips!
Here are a few simple tips I’ve learned over the years from trial and error (After all, I’m savvy on getting by, but we want to get to the next level.):
- Keep the places I need to go in the same central location, otherwise, I save it to another day when there are other things that can be included with it to stop at.
- Consolidate places needed to go into one trip. Sometimes my number of errands needed to run can get a little long, but usually it turns out to be around four or five stops.
- I driver a smaller fuel-efficient vehicle.
