What is this list and what does it say?

Well, it can say a little or a lot,

but it’s mostly a stereotype about our “Dear ‘Ol Dad”.

Dads may possess only some of these features,

because otherwise would make them out to be some predictable creatures –

With control buttons & meters.

However in these days of changing family dynamics –

Here’s to the Dads staying the course,

with Love, Honor and Guidance.

These are the Dads doing with a preponderance –

what only they uniquely can do.
