Bare Knuckle Thrill Ride! (LOST, Episode, #9)

Episode #9, “The Shape of Things to Come”, what a ride that one was! I don’t even know where to begin. All I know to say is — what’s up with Ben? This guy is just one big mind game. He appears to be some kind of psychopath. This guy let his quasi-self-adopted daughter (Alex) get shot, and he hardly batted an eye. So he’s the one who’s been playing around with the “smoke beast”. Also, he appears in the flash forwards, but I’m thinking that he didn’t get there the same way the Oceanic Six did.

So I kind of understand why Sayid has turned into this mercenary killer at the whim of Ben, who appears to be using him. Farraday and his other comrades have confirmed that they’re not coming to rescue anyone off that island, so what are they there for, is the next question? It’s getting more twisted with each new episode.

Jack has some kind of stomach condition, and his sister, Claire, who he doesn’t know is related to him, is almost blown to smithereens. Then we have the doc from the freighter floating ashore with his neck slit, but according to the morse code that Farraday got back in response from contacting the ship, relayed that he was still alive and on the freighter. So it appears the boat is in a whole other dimension.

I’m just not buying that Ben is on a rampage to kill Charles Widmore’s daughter, Penny, because his play-daughter, Alex, was killed by one of Widmore’s men from the freighter. Nothing is adding up, we’re in for a really wild ride. This is not some half-baked jump-the-shark episodes like they had last season. It’s definitely turning into some kind of top tier ride again — a bare knuckle thrill ride at that! Hope they can keep it up.
