Keep The Bees Busy!

4.10.2008 by savvysuzy

Flowers are poppin’ up and bees are buzzin’! Not!! Apparently, the bees have been disappearing from the scene in alarming rates. It’s called, Colony Collapse Disorder. Scientist are somewhat baffled, but they have a theory that it might be from pesticides and their food supply becoming limited.

On, 60 Minutes, several months back, they did a story about a bee farmer who was running himself ragged to keep up with the demand for him to truck his bees to different farms to help with the pollination of farmers’ crops.

We can help the situation right in our own yards or window sills by planting more flowers. Even better idea, supposedly, would be to plant native plant species to help the bees stay busy.
