Poppies Popping Up!
4.04.2008 by savvysuzy
I suppose this could be classified as the first sign of spring around here. But I can’t really say that, because there is always some kind of flower blooming here year round, so who knows. Well, I’ll call it that.
They have little fuzzy buds and stems, which are really quite cute to look at. I also like the way the stems kind of droops from the heaviness of the bud. I’ll see if I can find one to show, if you haven’t already seen one yourself.
Well, what do you know, there was one right up in that “poppy” post from Wikipedia.com in the first paragraph. Convenient! Lots of good information and pictures of different varieties in that posting.
See! Isn’t it the cutest little bud? A little fuzzy thing from nature. Not only is nature getting all “springy on us”, but this year is doing some fast forward springiness too!
