Looking Foolish!
4.01.2008 by Savvy SuzyWhat does April Fools’ Day have to do with “Self” you might say? Well, for me it had a lots to do with my whole blogging experience and how I’m using it to improve my life. That’s really big for me! It’s not about whether people comment or visit my site, but rather about what I’m learning as I pour my energy and time into this experience.
It will only give back what I put into it, and that is why I keep at it. This whole internet experience is not only new for me, but for everyone going through it. It’s a learning process for the whole world. How “BIG” is that? Too big for my mind to grasp the enormity of it. But just being a part of contributing to this New World is something beyond words.
This “blogging” phenomenon, en mass, is a fairly new addition to the internet (various individuals did it early on) which is bringing about an opportunity for us to add our thoughts, ideas, inspirations, etc…just all in all, one big experiment in mental expression, that we’ve never seen the likes of before.
Sometimes we may think this may be foolish to write about or that may be silly, but we take the risk of exposing it for the eyes out there in the ether to see, and possibly to comment on. (We have to use our better judgement when it comes to deciding what is and what isn’t worthy fodder, because not everything is print worthy.)
But if they don’t comment that’s quite all right! And if they do and it’s not positive then, hopefully, it makes us less sensitive to criticism. So it’s all good! We’ve taken the risk of exposing ourselves to looking foolish. But I beg to differ, that the foolish thing would have been never to attempted it at all.
