It’s That Time Again!
3.01.2008 by Savvy SuzyIn honor of the best ever episode of “Lost” last week, my theme is about “Time” for the month of March. Besides the “Lost” episode, the beginning of this year is highlighting several elements dealing with time. As I mentioned earlier, this year is leap year, and for another we have to set our clocks forward again. I did an article about the early start of “Daylight Savings Time” last year.
Did you remember that It’s time to “spring forward” again? Yea! Did you have any biological and psychological effects from the delay of setting the clock back? Or were you like me, maybe noticing that things seemed a bit different, but you didn’t have time to notice because of so many things to do?
Well, I did notice last year, that it feels like spring-time earlier, with the new time change, and that’s a good thing! Isn’t it?!! With spring we get all of the lovely flowers and plants springing to life again. Saying that reminds me, that it’s also time to do a little planting again, myself.

Living out here on the west coast, we have to be conscious of water 24/7. Even though we have this big ocean in close proximity, we can’t drink any of that water. Although, I heard that they were using reverse osmosis systems to desalinate the water over on Catalina Island. It’s probably too expensive to do on a large scale.
Thank goodness we’ve had some rain this year, but we’re still in the drought status. There was rain this season, but it seemed like a few drops of rain, in comparison to what seems like a huge bucket to fill. We still have to be wary and not wasteful of water every day. So it’s as good a time as any, to get in the habit of using less.
I was doing some research last year, and ran across “xerophyte plants”. I got the idea that I need to use these plants more. There are two of these plants already homesteading in my little garden plot, but I’ve, definitely, have to get more of these water saving friends!
