A Little Different This Year

10.01.2007 by savvysuzy

Like how many times do I need to say it — the year is moving fast. So I need to stop saying it. It’s like the real year doesn’t get started until September, and it will definitely be moving in the highest gear. Everything is crammed into four months. Then we need the eight months of the new year to recuperate.

This year will look a little different to the states that observe “Daylight Savings Time”. Remember it ends a little later due to a change being mandated by Congress. It started in March 11th, of this year and will end Nov. 4th. Last year it started April 2nd and ended October 29th. About a month of extra daylight time was added. We were on the prior schedule for two decades.

So the question is, ‘Will this year feel any different?’ Or will we all be too busy to really pay attention. Maybe I’ll remember to make a note. ~ Suzy :)

“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
~ Edith Sitwell
