Are Coupons Useful?
9.09.2007 by savvysuzyIf you were to ask me the above question, I would have to say they’re not always useful, for the most part. Oh sure you can get an item for less, but is that item something you would use normally or something new you really want to try? I have found that they create a lot of angst!
Now, my main reasoning behind not wanting to use coupons is — they’re just too darn much trouble! Plus, like I said before, they cause a considerable amount of stress attempting to keep up with those “little buggers”. Besides you have to deal with the date expiring, meeting the written demands of the coupon (having to buy so much of this or that), clipping these things out of the paper, keeping them organized, and I’m sure there are other issues with them. These are the main issues that I don’t like.
It was driving me “buggy”, so I hardly use them now. I did it for a while, after hearing about the money some people saved. But in the end, it just wasn’t worth it to me. I’ll use them if it’s absolutely something I would use or need. Otherwise, I prefer to go to stores that have low prices to begin with — minus the need to play the coupon game. Do you play the coupon game? What’s your strategy?
