Spring Into Action! ~ 3.07

We really needed the rain, but on the otherhand, it really has been nice to the pocketbook and the ability to keep warm. This winter has been very dry in southern California (75% below normal). It’s a good thing the layered look is in (one of my favorite styles.) We didn’t turn the heat on at all. Actually, we haven’t used our heater in years — so our gas bill is pretty low.

March is all abloom. I can see the peach tree (It overhangs the fence from the neighbors patio next door.) out my kitchen window, and the buds are just about ready to pop. A few have actually sprouted new green leaves. It’s such a fitting sign for a new year — a sleeping (dormant) tree, that’s now awake and ready to burst forth with new energy! What an inspiration.

Seemed like the first two months were going by as slow as molasses. Now, the year is getting ready to roll, after a kinda slow and lazy start. Everything has been resting (including me) and now it’s time to shift into another gear. Spring is definitely in the air!
